FR Dans Stabat Maldonne, Leïla Ka déploie l’intensité fulgurante qui a fait d’elle l’une des voix majeures de la nouvelle scène chorégraphique – qui signe des chorégraphies pour Beyoncé ou Zaho de Sagazan. En s’inspirant de la prière médiévale Stabat Mater, méditation sur le deuil de la Madonne pour son fils crucifié, la chorégraphe transpose au théâtre son spectacle sur des femmes en lutte, Maldonne, le transformant en une ample fresque chorale avec vingt-huit choristes du Chœur d’Angers Nantes Opéra et cinq danseuses, drapées de robes éclatantes. Dans cette traversée où se mêlent révolte, vulnérabilité et joie, elles inventent une danse d’émancipation, une reconquête de soi par le mouvement. Un rituel vibrant, un hymne à la sororité où les femmes, ensemble, se soulèvent.
EN Leïla Ka, one of France’s most distinctive young choreographers, expands her acclaimed Maldonne into a choral work, bringing movement and music into close, physical dialogue. Inspired by the Stabat Mater tradition, this creation shifts the figure of the grieving mother towards an embodied vision of sisterhood and collective defiance. Five dancers share the stage with the Angers Nantes Opéra choir, set to a constellation of Stabat Mater compositions by Poulenc, Dvořák, Rossini and others. Where the original quintet traced feminine identity through forty dresses and the fierce energy of contemporary and urban vocabularies, this version draws its resonance from the liberating, shared breath of singing and movement. Voices, fabrics and bodies pulse together in a contemporary meditation on women standing upright, together.
DE Stabat Mater, ein mittelalterliches Gebet über die Trauer der Muttergottes um ihren gekreuzigten Sohn, hat Komponisten aller Zeiten inspiriert. Mehr als ein religiöser Text ist es eine Meditation über menschliches Mitgefühl und weibliches Leid. Leïla Ka, preisgekrönte Tanzkünstlerin der jungen französischen Generation, choreographiert unter anderem für Beyoncé und die César-Verleihung. Mit Stabat Maldonne präsentiert sie nach Maldonne den zweiten Teil einer Trilogie über die weibliche Figur. Fünf Tänzerinnen und eine Gruppe von Sängerinnen des Chors der Angers Nantes Opéra, gehüllt in bunte Kleider, erfinden einen Tanz, der sie aus ihren Fesseln befreit und ihnen Freiheit schenkt. Die Performance verbindet hörbare Atmung, Tanz und Gesang zu einer kraftvollen und poetischen Hymne auf die Schwesternschaft.
