Nach Ella Roads Die Laborantin in der Spielzeit 22·23 inszeniert Fábio Godinho zum zweiten Mal eine Koproduktion mit dem Staatstheater Mainz. Nancy Harris’ Leuchtfeuer, das vordergründig als Krimi gestaltet ist, liest der Regisseur als Reflexion über das Verhältnis zwischen Kunst und Natur.

Aviatrice qui a marqué l'histoire en devenant la première femme à traverser l'Atlantique en avion, l’aventure d’Amelia Earhart s'est tragiquement interrompue en 1937 lorsque son avion a disparu lors d’un vol transatlantique, laissant derrière elle un mystère non résolu et inscrivant son nom dans l'histoire pour l'éternité. Plus qu'une aviatrice, Amelia symbolise le désir de dépasser la condition humaine et d'atteindre des sommets inaccessibles, à la manière d'Icare dans la mythologie grecque.

Réinterrogeant à travers l’écriture créative le rapport entre document et fiction, les élèves étaient libres de choisir le thème et le sujet. La seule contrainte était celle d’une écriture à l’approche documentaire : les pièces se basent ou bien sur une histoire réelle, des personnes ayant existé ou qui existent, des documents consultés, une recherche approfondie ou bien sur un sujet, voire un fait réel glané ici ou là.

FR Les Théâtres de la Ville continuent leur collaboration avec le chorégraphe Serge Aimé Coulibaly et présentent cette saison les trois pièces lauréates de son concours biannuel Africa Simply the Best, qui récompense les meilleures créations africaines en danse chorégraphique solo.
