FR Après ANTI (24 • 25), le chorégraphe Brian CA revient au Grand Théâtre avec un nouveau solo qui unit l’homme et la machine, inspiré par ses propres expériences adolescentes d’addiction aux écrans. SATELLITES promet un ballet de drones, dans un voyage où l’humain se confronte à sa propre création. La technologie, conçue comme prolongement de nos capacités, dépasse ici son créateur et reflète les failles de la condition humaine, révélant la solitude de celui qui cherche à transcender ses limites physiques et intellectuelles. Sur fond d’une composition originale de l’artiste électronique COH, SATELLITES explore cette tension entre progrès et régression, confrontation et symbiose. La machine devient ici à la fois compagnon et rival, exposant la fragilité d’une humanité fascinée et effrayée par ce qu’elle a engendré.

In SATELLITES, machines become mirrors – precise, tireless, and almost more ‘human’ than their creator. Set to a score of Swedish-Russian composer COH, CA’s choreography traces the tension between control and surrender, solitude and connection. Neither dystopian nor utopian, the work reflects a present where tools designed to extend our capacities quietly reframe presence and attention. Addressing a generation raised on screens, SATELLITES reveals a space where body and machine might converge to create new forms of expression and insight.

In SATELLITES stellt Brian CA (ANTI, 24 · 25) diese Frage in einem choreografischen Solo, das Drohnen, Körper und Licht in poetischer Symbiose vereint. Inspiriert von eigenen Erfahrungen mit Bildschirmsucht im Jugendalter erschafft er eine kühle, künstliche Welt, in der der Mensch seiner Schöpfung gegenübersteht – einer Maschine, die zugleich Begleiterin und Rivalin ist. Zwischen technologischem Rausch und innerer Leere wird Einsamkeit zum Motor einer Suche nach Verbindung und Hoffnung. SATELLITES thematisiert unsere fragile Beziehung zu Technologie – als Spiegel, Fluch oder Chance auf harmonische Koexistenz.
