The theatres
United under the name of Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, our two houses, the Grand Théâtre in Limpertsberg and the Théâtre des Capucins in the heart of the capital, present a programme of theatre, dance and opera. Driven by the desire to respond to the expectations and demands of a teeming and constantly changing cultural scene, we are guided by the passion to bring together a cosmopolitan audience in these theatres and to reflect today's society.
The Grand Theatre
Located at the intersection of the Kirchberg and Limpertsberg districts, the Grand Théâtre is home to opera (classical and contemporary cycles), dance and theatre in several languages with a national and international dimension and offers an eclectic and multidisciplinary programme on its three stages.
In the heart of the capital, the Théâtre des Capucins is one of the witnesses of the eventful history of the City of Luxembourg. It gives pride of place to contemporary dramatic creation and emerging talent. It aims to be a bastion of creativity and support for local and international artists, notably through initiatives aimed at emerging talents such as the TalentLAB or the Capucins Libre, a residency for the end of the creation process.
