A contemporary tragedy
Q & A after the performance
[EN] An immersive opera for teenagers directed by Alexandra Lacroix, mentor of the opera project of the 2021 edition of the TalentLAB. Be My Superstar is an immersive opera for everyone aged 14 and up. Based on a text by Yann Verburgh, Bullied – Ordinary Tragedies, it addresses bullying and harassment between adolescents. Be My Superstar includes this age group throughout the creation process, thanks to the participation of a spontaneous choir in each performance. An opera for one soprano, one countertenor, four musicians and an electronic score, the creation puts into music and images situations of ordinary harassment, confronting us with the banality of the violence we are capable of.
