[en] When Nederlands Dans Theater offers a retrospective programme with some of its most beautiful classics, three names must not be missing: Jirí Kylián, Sol León and Paul Lightfoot. These three choreographers have shaped the identity of this most innovative of contemporary dance companies like no other. The evening kicks off with Kylián's Psalmsymphony, choreographed to Stravinsky's music and a celebration of the human spirit's survival over the world's materialism. It continues with one of Lightfoot/León's rawest and surprising works, Subject to change. In it, two dancers are at the mercy and whim of a quartet of male dancers. Concluding the evening is Jirí Kylián's Whereabouts Unknown, an exploration into the origins of human existence using Australian Aboriginal dance and African rythms, masks and rituals.

Pour fêter son 50e anniversaire, le Nederlands Dans Theater s'offre auprès de ses partenaires privilégiés une tournée « Jubilé » composée de deux volets - une rétrospective des grandes chorégraphies ayant marqué son histoire et une soirée d'inédits signés Kylián, Lightfoot/León et Johan Inger.

Speziell zu diesem Anlass werden alle 50 Tänzer des Nederlands Dans Theater I und Nederlands Dans Theater II in phantastischen Tanzdarbietungen auf der Bühne zu sehen sein. Der erste Teil des Programms wendet sich den großartigen Choreographien der vergangenen Jahrzehnte des traditionsreichen Hauses zu. Diese wundervollen Kreationen der Choreographen Jirí Kylián und Lightfoot/León haben weltweiten Ruhm geerntet und Tanzgeschichte geschrieben.
